Why use a MOBI?
- No calibration – ready to go every lesson
- No shadow – you don’t have to stand in the way of the projector, or the students.
- Unlimited screen size – you don’t have to set the board to the height of the smallest child.
Transform your classroom into a high-performing interactive learning environment.
The Interwrite MOBI is the first multi-user interface designed specifically to support student-centred, collaborative learning. The teacher and students can concurrently interact with and contribute to the same digital content – ideal for team activities, learning simulations, student exploration, and more!
Featuring an ergonomic, ultra-lightweight design, the Interwrite MOBI lets teachers teach and students contribute from anywhere in the classroom or lecture hall. It’s the perfect classroom management tool for today’s computerised classroom.
The MOBI’s integrated colour display shows student clicker (classroom response system) answers in real time, making it easy for teachers to identify students who need special attention or topics that require re-teaching.
The Interwrite MOBI System includes the MOBI View tablet for teachers, the MOBI Learner tablets for students and the Interwrite Workspace® software. Up to nine Interwrite MOBIs can work together simultaneously. All hardware components can be purchased separately, so you can tailor the system to meet your needs. MOBIs are not ‘tied’ to a particular computer or location and can easily be borrowed and moved around a teaching centre.
The MOBI can be used with the CPS Pulse™, the latest version of the market-leading Classroom Performance System™, used by millions of students and teachers in more than 400,000 classrooms.
State of the art technology and integration
The MOBI integrates with the CPS Classroom Response system. When using the MOBI response results are displayed in real-time on the teacher’s screen for real-time feedback. There’s no need to wait for the question to end to get the results – all the response data is displayed as it is received on the private screen of the MOBI for instant use by the instructor. Teachers can immediately evaluate and adjust their instructional activities and assessments, as they go. Additionally, the colour LCD provides comprehensive, visual status information on battery life, connection status and pen use.
By far the coolest thing for me is the possibility of splitting the screen into up to 9 areas, handing out up to nine MOBIs to your students and getting them to work independently at the same time. One of the lecturers I work with has used this to get the students to draw a mindmap: he’s given them the 1st level of headings and assigned one to each group and then the students took over. It was great fun, interesting to see the progression from I’ll-draw-something-rude-now to I’ll-do-work-if-I-don’t-want-the-rest-of-the-group-to-lynch-me.”Dragos Ciobanu, University of Leeds
