Impact Explorer - Frequent Questions

If the question you have is not answered here, please email info@banxia.com and we will do our best to help you.

Can I use the new low-cost Reply® "Worldwide" keypads with Impact Explorer?

Yes, Impact Explorer is fully compatible with the new keypads. Contact Banxia for a competitive quote for these keypads.

I already have some keypads - can I use Impact Explorer™ with them?

Banxia Impact Explorer™ supports various keypads. Our primary keypad, purchasable from stock, is the ResponsePad™ full function infra-red keypad.

The software also supports Fleetwood "Reply" keypads (EU, US and Worldwide), and InterWrite PRS™ keypads (special driver install required), and TRX-10 keypads (Brazil).

Can I integrate with PowerPoint?

Yes, the software fully integrates into PowerPoint® presentations. The agenda provides an activity which will automatically switch to PowerPoint at the appropriate point. You can then use the master control as a remote control for the PowerPoint slides. At the appropriate point in the slides, the Impact Explorer software can automatically take back control and start the next voting activity. Using full screen background images, you can ensure that the appearance is identical.

Can I use data from other applications?

Yes, you can paste existing lists of text into Impact Explorer™ from other applications. Whether this is a pre-prepared document, or some other live data gathering software (such as our Decision Explorer software), you can use the clipboard to transfer into Impact Explorer and quickly start voting on it. The format of lists of questions is automatically interpreted, so you can easily paste from web pages or documents.

How do I prepare my workshop in advance?

Impact Explorer™ is designed to support both impromptu meetings and pre-prepared meetings. At a simple level, you can just type in some elements to vote on, then use the wizard to select the options, and you are ready to vote.

But if you want to prepare your workshop in advance, then the agenda manager allows you to add not only the voting activities but also break times, general announcement slides, PowerPoint interaction, and everything you need for a full workshop plan. You can then save the agenda as a template for use with future workshops. And of course you can still add a quick activity any time you need one live.
