The TRX keypads use an identification system based on three hexadecimal numbers. Each keypad has a number like "C2.A8.A6". This is efficient for detailed identification, but not user friendly when it comes to rapid entry of data in a decision making setting. Each user needs to know if their key press has been entered, and having to remember the detailed identifier would not be helpful.
To solve this, the Impact Explorer software automatically provides a simpler numbering scheme. It will allocate a sequential number starting from 1 to each keypad it sees. These numbers are stored in a file (keypadmap.cfg) so that they are kept permanently.
If you want to change the numbers allocated, or perhaps reset them, then this dialog, accessed via the Keypads menu TRX Numbering item, allows you to edit them.
The main display is a grid with the keypad codes on the left and the allocated numbers on the right.
| If you wish to change a code, simply edit the number. You cannot have two keypads with the same number as that would cause a lot of trouble. If this is detected, the OK button is disabled and you can continue to edit one of the duplicates to fix the problem.

| To renumber all of the keypads you have, you can use the Clear all or Remove all buttons and then click OK. Next, press a button on each keypad in the order you want them to be numbered (starting from 1). The software will automatically allocate the numbers.

The Re-assign in order button allocates a number from 1 to each known keypad, replacing existing values.
| To pick up any new keypads that you have added to the system while in the dialog, click the Refresh button. Note that all changes made will be discarded.

| Clicking Cancel will discard all of the changes made.

| Click OK to save the settings.
