Ranking displays

The ranking instruction display looks as shown:

ranking first choice

The bottom of the screen shows a status bar with a count of the number of keypads still to select an option. When there are only a few left, the individual numbers are shown so that the remaining ones can be identified if necessary.

In a ranking session you cannot pick the same choice twice. If you do hit the same choice twice, two things will happen. The first is that the keypad reference will remain on the Impact Explorer™ status bar, since a valid choice has not been registered on the system. The second thing is that there will be a beep from the laptop or computer running Impact Explorer™. The keypad number will not flash (as it does with invalid responses in other modes).

The results of the ranking sessions are shown graphically. With a large number of participants and a large number of ranking cycles you should first check that the results display is legible for the size of audience, room size and projection/ display size that you are working with.

ranking graph

With the results display for ranking you have the option of having a summary of results displayed as a background to the individual results.

The summary display adds the first choice, plus half of the second choice, plus a third of the third choice, and so on.
