The Ranking activity allows the participants to select their first, second, etc choices from a displayed list.

You can specify how many choices the participants can make, but you should keep this as low as possible since it is hard for people to remember what they have chosen previously, particularly when discussions are occurring.

_actionTo set the number of preferences, click on the buttons to the left and right of the value.  
 
_actionTo set the multipliers used for the summary display, click the Multipliers button and the Ranking multipliers dialog will appear. The default values will work for most uses.  

When you have set the number of preferences, click the Next button to move to the title page.

The ranking mode of assessment is limited to 10 elements, matching the numbers on the keypads. Also, when working with lists of more then ten items participants find it more difficult to make a choice and the process starts to break down.
