Questions and Answers - special options

When you are creating a list for use in a question and answer session, special facilities are used. The Q&A mode needs not only the questions, but also the answers (the phrases from which people must choose).

To make a list that is Q&A compatible, simply click on the Make Choices button. This prepares the list and shows the answer column.

You can now use all the usual tools to add answers to each element. There are also some additional facilities that can help, for example holding the Ctrl key while pressing Enter will switch to the other column for the next new item.



You can paste, re-order and edit choices just as in the main column.

The highlight facility is used where you want to have an indication of the "correct" or "common" answer in your graphs. The highlight is shown in the results graph either by a colour change, or by modifying the slice in the pie chart. The highlight is never shown in the main element view so that a correct answer is not revealed, but you should take care when using the list manager on a public display. If the results are important, you may prefer not to use highlights.

Click on the answer that you want to highlight, and click the Highlight button. The item will be displayed with an asterisk, and highlighted green when not selected.

To remove a highlight, click the Clear highlight button.
