The Export dialog will appear. Clicking on the Export button will cause a new Word document to be created in Word (it will auto-start if not already running), and it will then be given titles and headings appropriate to the activities in the current meeting file.
Each activity will have the elements listed. For each activity you can optionally include the totalled values (result texts) in a tabbed form that can be easily converted to a table (select it and hit the table button). If you have the result texts, you can also select to have the full choice listing which lists every choice made by every participant. This is probably only needed for special cases, but remember that you can export the information again with different options to create another document. Finally the graphs that were generated for each activity can be included. The graphs are loaded from disk, and are assumed to be in the directory of the same name as the meeting file. If they are not there, then a message is output instead.
The results of matrix activities can be output using two additional options. First, you can sort the results by the average priority, such that the most urgent are output first in the document. Additionally you can have a summary table output with the elements that at least one person placed in the highlight area of the matrix.
While the export is occurring, the text at the top of the window shows the steps underway. If it appears to pause for a very long time, then Word is probably stopped waiting for something, and you should switch to Word to see what the status is. If you are using Word 97, there is a known bug (Microsoft reference Q293087) that causes it to display a "document too complex" message (which pauses the export). You can overcome this by using the Impact Explorer Preferences dialog which can auto-save the document, or by using the facilities in the export dialog (automatic handling is used where possible).
