In Decision Explorer® the short phrases which express ideas are referred to as "concepts". In Impact Explorer they are referred to as "elements".
| To import elements from Decision Explorer® to Impact Explorer, first open Decision Explorer® and open the model. Switch back to Impact Explorer and the activity wizard. On the element list page click the Quick Decision Explorer® button. The Select a model dialog will open, followed by the Choose elements dialog. Select the appropriate items (selected or displayed are most common) and click OK to start the transfer.

| The Decision Explorer® import can be pre-specified using an agenda item.
|
When importing you may choose to import all of the concepts in a model (the "all" radio button), only those which are currently selected in the model (the "selected" radio button), only those which are shown on the current map display in Decision Explorer® (the "displayed" radio button) or a custom selection, based on the sets and styles in the Decision Explorer® model (the "named set" radio button).
Note: when you import elements from Decision Explorer® to Impact Explorer the concept reference numbers, which Decision Explorer® uses to identify each piece of information, are also transferred into Impact Explorer. These reference numbers are needed so that when information is passed back from Impact Explorer to Decision Explorer® the assessment results are added to the correct concepts. If you edit the imported elements in Impact Explorer, the link to the original concept will be lost.
